Tromsø Dog Sledding Tours is an independent visitor guide to husky sledding from Tromsø, in northern Norway. It compares the sled rides and kennel visits sold from the city: who drives the sled, how long you spend on it, how far each kennel is, what each tour costs and which ages and weights it takes. We do not run tours, keep dogs or take bookings.
Where the facts come from
- Tours, prices, ages and pickups: the GetYourGuide listings, read in US dollars and dated on every page with the month we read them.
- Season, polar night and the northern lights: Visit Tromsø, the region’s tourist board.
- Kennels: the kennels’ own websites, for their location, size and history.
- Dog welfare rules: the Norwegian Food Safety Authority (Mattilsynet) and the Norwegian Scientific Committee for Food and Environment (VKM).
- Guests’ experiences: the newest reviews on GetYourGuide, summarised with the date we read them.
We have not inspected any kennel, and we say so where it matters. When a listing and a kennel’s own site disagree, we give the listing’s figure for what you book and note the difference.
